Newby Bridge B&B
Newby Bridge is a small village on the River Leven, close to the southern end of Windermere. The village is the site of a halt on the tourist steam railway, the Lakeside & Haverthwaite . The train connects with Windermeres steamers at Lakeside. Whilst the main land use is sheep farming, tourism plays a significant part. Due to its ideal central location for touring and exploring the Lake District and Cumbrian coast , there are a number of guesthouses and bed and breakfast establishments (b&b) close to or situated in Newby Bridge. Similarly there are a number of hotels within a few miles.
