Now in its 20th year, Beswicks is one restaurant that has stood the test of time, winning awards for both its food and wine. It's housed in a Queen Anne building in Broughton-in-Furness and is furnished in period style. Beswicks serves British food with a French twist and is famous for its duck, steak and game. In classic French style, the award-winning cheeseboard is served before dessert and the wine list here extends to 110 bins. The surrounding area has plenty of attractions including Muncaster Castle, the Eskdale Railway and Lake Coniston. This is one of the better Lake District Restaurants.
Just a few minutes drive from Tarn Hows, Coniston Old Man and the Langdale Pikes, the Drunken Duck lies in the heart of the Lake District at a remote crossroads above Lake Windermere. It's been under the same family ownership since 1977 and effortlessly mixes the old with the new. Dine in the AA-rosetted restaurant, sample an award-winning ale from the on-site Barngates Brewery in the atmospheric bar.

These are just two of the many Lake District Restaurants, offering something for everyone.
