Ann & George welcome you to Hillsdale, our family-run bed & breakfast. Hillsdale is a traditional Lakeland slate building situated in a quiet location in the heart of picturesque Ambleside. We are just a minute's walk from the town's many restaurants, pubs and shops.

Quality and comfort are assured at Hillsdale Guest House and our 4 stars inspection rating awarded by the English Tourism Council reflects our levels of service and quality. All of our rooms have recently been modernised.

Having lived in the Lake District for many years we have excellent local knowledge and we are only too happy to help you plan and make the most of your stay in England's most beautiful corner. Whether it is recommending and booking tables in restaurants on your behalf, or arranging driving tours, lake cruises, cycle hire or simply suggesting suitable walking and cycle routes, we are only too happy to help.
